Course Structure

Theory Session (circa 3 hours)

3 - 4 dive days of 2 dives a day, actual training plan is customizable between instructor and team of students, with location also one of the deciding factors

Pre-requisites

PSAI Advanced Nitrox Diver certified, or equivalent

Rescue Diver Level or higher (Recreational perspective)

Training Location and Course Fees

Subic Bay or Puerto Galera, the Philippines

While both training locations are very well-suited for Extended Range Nitrox diver training, they do differ on a few details such as logistics, equipment and dive planning. Talk to me for more details.

Instructor Fee is US$800

Other costs: travelling, food and accommodation, diving charges, oxygen fill (where applicable), team-sharing of instructor diving costs, etc.

Certification Requirements

Students need to demonstrate proficiency in planning and executing a technical dive up to 55 meters using the correct gas mix for bottom phase and decompression phase. Students should be able to carry out the dives with stablity, with all-rounded awarenesses covering buoyancy control and trim, the environment, buddy, equipment and the diver him/herself. Students should also be proficient with exercising problem-solving skills at depth.

A written exam that covers the theoretical aspect of Extended Range Nitrox Diving. Passing mark is 80%.
